If you have a problem with Endnote, at least you can send an email to tech support and you get a reply within a couple of days. The Word citation manager was completely inflexible. But you couldn’t adjust them the way you can in Endnote. Often, the citation methods were simply wrong. In trying to use it for my dissertation, I found it completely useless. HOWEVER… those of you who are just now discovering the citation manager in Word 2011 should know a few things about it. Guys, I’m not going to defend Thomson because I, too, feel they should have been a bit more on top of the game in regard to Endnote compatibility with the release of Word 2011.
